Milton House

Milton House, On charter Row in Sheffield was built as an office building in the 1970’s.  Our client, Westfield Health purchased the building to become their new headquarters, and to provide sub-let office space.  We were asked to provide M&E consultancy services to explore the design options and provide a tender package.

The design brief was to provide a cutting-edge office space with the latest technological developments.  It was designed in conjunction with Hadfield Cawkwell architects, Eastwood structural engineers and Lambert Smith Hampton client’s agent.

he final design used de-centralised VRF air conditioning system using fan coils located behind bespoke architectural casings.  The office uses a unique lighting strategy with highlighting of shadow gaps in the ceiling.  The building also has a new build roof terrace with a PV array and break-out space with views over Sheffield.

The project won a CIOB award in 2016 and we believe sets the benchmark for similar office conversions in the area.
