Albert Works

Albert works is a pre-war light industrial building that had been dilapidated for many years.  Our client was renovating this for an incoming tenant.  We were asked to provide consultancy services to interface between our client and the tenant.  The design was developed by Cartwright Pickard Architects.

The design brief was to retain and enhance the character of the existing building yet provide a functional space.
Our design used gas boilers and bespoke lighting, with exposed ventilation ductwork.

The heating system is capable of being connected to the Sheffield district heating system in the future.

The project won a RIBA award and continues to win additional accolades as well as setting the benchmark for similar projects in the area.
